Organizational Development Skills: Roles Can be Re-defined at Any Stage

Many hats thrown into the air

I Have Worn Many Hats!

I have undertaken many different roles in my career pathway. I have had the role of File Clerk, Inventory Checker, Customer Service Representative, Cashier, Executive Assistant, Teacher, Educator, Trainer, Supervisor, Communication’s Specialist, Geo Technical Specialist, Geologist, LPS Administrator, Project Administrator, Business Manager, CEO, Director, Ambassador, SIFE Judge, Author, Publisher, Business Expert, Speaker and Mentor.

Organizational Development Skills to Learn Roles

Each role strengthened a talent or gave me qualifications to know the required elements of that position. I found that each position was similar in the fact that the job had to be completed; however each task was an adventure in itself. Roles are not just established in the norming stage; rather roles can be re-defined at any stage and each person is continually re-working their roles. I do not think I am the exception.

Understanding Organizational Behavior. Wearing different hats gives a diversified perspective when it comes to understanding managerial decisions. This is because many different avenues of thought and understanding open from awareness of different functions. First-hand experience counts. Academia knowledge strengthens. Combining both allows insight into strategic planning.
